Ms. Fuianiga Tupua

Fuianiga Tupua, born and raised in the vibrant village of Nu’uuli in American Samoa, is a dedicated educator and criminal justice professional with a strong commitment to serving her community. A 2016 graduate of Nu’uuli Vocational Technical High School, Fuianiga demonstrated early on her passion for learning and leadership. She pursued higher education at American Samoa Community College, where she earned an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice in 2018. In 2019, she joined the military, serving in the Army Reserve for five years, where she honed her discipline, resilience, and dedication to public service. Upon returning home from Hawai’i in 2020, Fuianiga continued her educational journey at Wayland Baptist University, graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice in November 2021. 

Her academic achievements reflect her unwavering determination to excel in her field. She furthered her expertise by obtaining a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Grand Canyon University in 2022, solidifying her foundation in the field. Fuianiga’s passion for education led her back to her roots, where she taught at her alma mater, Nu’uuli Vocational Technical High School, from 2023 to 2024. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Criminal Justice and Criminology, with the goal of graduating in 2026. Fuianiga is now imparting her knowledge and experience as a Social Studies teacher at South Pacific Academy’s Junior Academy, where she is in her first year of teaching. Her commitment to education and criminal justice continues to shape her contributions to her community and beyond, making her a role model for future generations.
