Mrs. Laisa Soko is the South Pacific Academy Junior School Science teacher. The 2024- 2025 Academic year will be her third year teaching at the school. She has prepared students for the Nationwide Science Fair competition and her students competing, have been placed in the top three places in the past two years.
Before joining South Pacific Academy, she taught in various secondary schools in Fiji. She has 32 years of experience as a teacher and ten years as a school administrator. She retired as principal of one of the largest secondary schools in Fiji.
Laisa is currently here with her husband who is Pastor to Fijian Methodist Church. American Samoa. She felt that she still be useful as a teacher and impart her knowledge and skills. Though she misses her children and grandchildren back home in Fiji, joining SPA is a blessing as she can meet children and make a difference in their lives, something she is passionate about. She loves reading, gardening, and outdoor activities and looks forward to working with all stakeholders of SPA.
