Mrs. Olosega Tuiuli

Olosega Tuiuli, a committed teacher,  resides in the beautiful village of Taputimu. Olosega began her early education in Faleasao, Manu’a, and continued her studies at Taputapu Elementary School after her family relocated to Tutuila. In 1990, Olosega transferred to Leone Midkiff and successfully completed Level 8 in 1994. She then attended Leone High School for four years, graduating in 1998. Eager to pursue higher education, she enrolled in college courses during the Spring Semester of 1999. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, Olosega had to put her educational aspirations on hold and seek employment to support her family. Her professional journey began as a salesperson at Talofa Video. She later worked as a hostess at Hong Kong Restaurant, where she quickly progressed to the role of Supervisor. Additionally, Olosega worked part-time at a Bowling Alley. In 2012, she made the difficult decision to resign from her job to care for her Papa after her Mama’s passing. In January 2021, Olosega embarked on a new chapter in her career by joining South Pacific Academy as a teacher’s aide for the Middle School Academy. This opportunity allowed her to not only assist and substitute for teachers but also teach full lessons when needed. Last year, she was recommended to work as a teacher’s aide for 3rd Grade at the Elementary Academy. Through her work-journey, she was selected to represent SPA at the Louisiana Active Shooter Outreach training, and the Ocean Literacy Professional Development Workshop. Determined to further her education, Olosega plans to continue taking classes at the community college this school year.  As she enters her third year with SPA, Olosega eagerly anticipates an exciting school year ahead, filled with meaningful interactions and valuable learning experiences with her students. This school year she is excited to be the Samoan Studies teacher for Elementary, Junior, and Senior Academy. Her passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is truly inspiring.
